Hi! I’m Akane, the Founder and Owner of LOV Bakery. LOV stands for Local Organic Vegan. When I went vegan in the mid-2000s, I couldn’t find any cookies that satisfied my taste buds, so I set out to perfect the vegan chocolate chip cookie. Soon, vegan and non-vegan friends alike were placing orders, and I began dreaming about opening my own bakery.
Finally, in 2015, I founded LOV Bakery as a Cottage Food Operation out of my home kitchen. The company soon outgrew my tiny kitchen, and we moved to a commercial kitchen the following year.
LOV Bakery is dedicated to making delicious and decadent vegan baked goods that are better for you and the environment. Everything we make is handcrafted from the finest organic, non-GMO and fair trade ingredients and is made with lots of LOV. Almost all our ingredients are sourced from the U.S. and local ingredients are used whenever possible. We use post-consumer recycled packaging when it is available, and we are always on the hunt for better eco-friendly/recycled/compostable options.
We believe in transparency in food and don’t use any preservatives or artificial flavors. Find out more about our ingredients and suppliers in the link below. No animals were harmed or exploited in the making of our products, nor were any synthetic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides used.
