Company History & A Message from the Owner

Hi, My name is Lawrence Smith, President and Founder of your San Francisco plumbing company, Sugar Bear Plumbing Co. I was born in Jackson, Mississippi; hometown – Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Moved to Richmond, CA in 1988. By 1991 my father relocated us to Diamond Heights in San Francisco, CA. With over 45 years of plumbing under his belt, that led me to be like father, like son.

Sugar Bear was a nickname given to me by a local couple, who became good friends of mine in 1997. San Francisco is one of the many cities I have visited and I’m proud to say it’s my new home. I started Sugar Bear Plumbing Co. in 2001 with the support of my wife and step-daughter. A few years later came my look-a-like son and daughter. We now live in South San Francisco.

I have been blessed to work and learn alongside some of the best plumbers that the Bay Area has to offer. From San Francisco to The Peninsula, we specialize in Repair Services and Remodel Plumbing. Plumbing is my goal and my goal has become my passion. We offer drain cleaning, copper pipe replacement, water heater repair – anything to do with plumbing!!!

I have teamed up with other professionals like myself, plumbing technicians, general contractors, electricians, drywall and tile contractors, just to name a few. No job is too big or small for us to turn down. All of our professionals are pre-screened, certified, licensed and bonded contractors.
